Street View, the technology featured by Google which provides panoramic views of streets around the world (2011), is currently raising privacy and security concerns. Diaz (2010) claims that Street View is not capturing images of anything that is not available for the public to see. Yet privacy and security issues become inevitable when Street View starts capturing photos of vehicle license plates, property, as well as people in compromising or out-of-context situations (Lopez 2010). Besides Street View is accused of collecting unencrypted payload data from unsecured Wi-Fi networks (2010) and it’s also being exploited as a means for cyber terrorism (2011).
